For more than ten years, we have led the way in initiating and realising sustainable product innovations. The (research) projects completed by the centre are carried out on behalf of and in collaboration with international companies. At Kathalys, the experience and expertise of the TNO Institute for Industrial Technology and Delft University of Technology are combined. In this respect, the experience of the university with knowledge development and fundamental research and the experience of TNO in developing innovative products and managing innovation projects are complementary. Kathalys was set up for the renewal of (complex) consumer products for living, work, transport and recreation. Because of our unique knowledge of consumer behaviour and requirements, technological and ecological developments and the most recent environmental legislation, we are able to assist individual companies and consortiums to set up sustainable innovation projects that reinforce their competitive position.
